This shows how miraculously and desperately people in each city are trying to convert idea into a business plan. Boom of startups in recent times have clearly paved a new path for earning a living.

You can be either working with a corporation under its rules & regulations, performing your skill under conventional bounded conditions or can be working with a flexible, innovative, and cool culture startup.


Each of the available opportunities is having a set of benefits & downfalls. You might be fit into any of the two work culture as per your passion, skill set, and dreams.

Some professionals make it big by working under the stringent rules of corporate and thus find success.

Few others dream of making it big, so they decide to create job instead of finding one and securing it.

We want to clarify that none of the two career choice is neither bad or nor good. It just depends upon your way of thinking and what you actually want to do.

Skill sets and passion also decides what sort of personnel are going to opt for a secure, risk-free, and convenient job, or you want to work in a company, where new ideas are welcomed, but there is no job security, nor any certainty.

Employees are valuable and accountable

Startups are known for their flexible and relenting rules of hierarchy, owing to its traditional work setting concept.

In startups, your boss is approachable and is always ready to listen to the ideas of his/her employees.

Each employee’s input and contribution is just as relevant as someone in a more senior position. This is understood and valued by everyone in the company.

In startups, even the boss identifies the value of each employee’s contribution, which can lead the company to success.

Unlike startups, corporate culture is more defined by following the rules and maintaining the hierarchical order of working.

Politically correct!

In a startup, you will find professionals, who are liberal, creative, and who thinks out-of-the-box.

The majority of the personnel working in the startups didn’t reach that position because they blindly followed rules, others set for them.

If you are working in a corporate culture, you are expected to follow the rules and regulations quite stringently. You are not allowed to share your ideas to the CEO or the senior management, until unless you are a senior professional.

This is quite opposite in startup. Young professionals with zero or less experience are encouraged to share their ideas, dreams and true beliefs every now and then.

Quite ironically, if you are seen as quirky, outspoken, or weird, paradoxically, you are an ideal fit for startups.

No Dress Code

Guys will be more than glad to not have to wear suits and ties during the summer and girls will love it to not shell out additional expense for a professional wardrobe.

In a startup environment, no one is going to judge you by the length of your skirt, neither will you be reprimanded for your color of nail polish and you have to worry zero about, in case you lack pocket square.

Startups provide a laidback environment, which means, they allow the professionals to express their individuality via their clothing.

Unlike corporate world, where people are equally concerned about what you are wearing, senior management in startups realizes that highest productivity can be achieved when you feel comfortable.

The sense of ownership

One of the major setbacks of the corporate culture is the work accountability. Working in a startup will eventually make you realize that whatever contributions you make directly affects the success meter of the company.

A professional can literally witness the progress converting itself in a much better and improvised growth of a startup.

The employee in a startup has to be more responsible and accountable, because it’s his work and his timeline.

Math in this case is quite direct and simple. More you put in; more you will get out of your profession. Each employee has an immediate stake in the company, hence whatever work you do can be seen and enhances within the startup.

You are understood and appreciated

One is not simply hired at a startup for his skills, expertise, or education qualifications.

It is who you are, the potential you can live upto, and the person you want to; things like these are more emphasized in a startup.

Almost every employee in a startup has made sacrifice, is talented, and have a vision for themselves and for the company. So, most of the bosses in startups does not hinder the way professionals do their work.

Bosses in startups are generally calmer, understand your situation and normally guides you and even work with you.
